We have several open positions at Microsoft Research Asia (MSRA) – Natural Language Computing (NLC) with focus on the following areas:

(6) Sentiment analysis
(7) Dialog system
(8) Machine translation
(9) Machine learning
We are looking for recent or to be Ph.D. graduates with passion to change the world. Our group work closely with the MSRA Search Technology Center (STC), Microsoft Live Search, and Microsoft adCenter in the United States to develop next generation internet applications and services. As an industrial lab, we provide rich and real application scenarios for innovative ideas. We strive to turn ideas into reality. Not to be limited in delivery of cutting edge technologies to our customers, we also publish intensively in leading academic conferences such as AAAI, ACL, COLING, EMNLP, SIGIR, WWW and so on.

Qualifications:
Ph.D. in computer science or related areas. We expect the successful applicant to have a solid background in computer science, strong hands-on implementation skills, and demonstrable creativity. We are particularly interested in researchers who have done work on web search & mining and natural language processing. We also expect the successful applicants to have good teamwork skills, problem solving skills, and the ability to supervise students.
Additional Qualifications:
Creativity, self-motivation, and great team player.
Demonstrated ability to generate new ideas and innovate.
Excellent written and oral communication skill both in Chinese and English.
Strong experiences and skills in C/C++/C# or script languages such as Perl, Python, and Ruby.
